Merle Gray

It is claimed that the field recordings of Merle Gray come from a large moon often hypothesized to be able to support life. If we are to believe the notes that Mr. Gray has provided, not only is this planet habitable, but it is doubly populated. The day span of the moon is a full two weeks in Earth time, the night is roughly two weeks. It is Mr. Gray's claim that the length and drastic difference of the day and night periods on the planet has created a sort of dual ecosystem. For two weeks the diurnal creatures rule. As night sets, they retreat to their dens and so blossom a vast array of night-plants and crawling creatures out from their caves and swamps. The included recordings, Gray claims, are taken from a number of observation points over the course of the two-week night.
